Tip The Balance In Your Favor
Comprehensive Tools for Interpreting Immunological Responses
Maintaining the proper balance between immune activation and suppression is critical for physiological functioning of the innate and adaptive immune system. Disruption of this equilibrium leads to immunological disorders including autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivities, and immune deficiency. Enzo Life Sciences provides a comprehensive portfolio of products to detect and modulate the complex processes of immunological disease.

Viral Agent Probes
Virus Detection Probes for use in a variety of hybridization techniques, including in situ hybridization at low concentrations (50-100 ng/mL). Biotinylated probes have been shown to hybridize to homologous DNA at the same rate and to the same extent as non-biotinylated probes.
Factors for Modulating the Host Response
Superior Performance From Carefully Engineered TNF Superfamily Ligands
MEGACD40L® (soluble) (human), (recombinant)
- Highly active MEGACD40L® oligomer mimics in vivo membrane-assisted CD40L aggregation and stimulation without the need for enhancers
- High purity with low endotoxin levels
- Experienced manufacturing results in consistent and dependable lot-to-lot performance
- Optimized formulation for improved stability and enhanced activity
Enhance Immune Activation with MEGACD40L® Protein
B cell lymphocyte activation by various CD40L constructs. PBMCs were treated for 48 hrs in media containing serially diluted MEGACD40L, CD40L + 2ug/mL Enhancer, or CD40L. Cells were dual-stained with α-human CD19–PE and α -human CD86–APC and analyzed by flow cytometry. Data are presented as the percent of CD19+ B cells that co-stain as CD86+.

Cytokine & Eicosanoid
Cytokines are secreted signaling molecules that mediate and regulate immunity, inflammation and many developmental processes during embryogenesis. Cytokines can have pleiotropic, overlapping, and sometimes contradictory functions, and also play an important role in angiogenesis and cancer. Eicosanoids are a group of biologically active oxygenated unsaturated fatty acids derived from arachidonic acid by the action of cyclooxygenases, lipoxygenases, and cytochrome P450 mono-oxygenases. The eicosanoid family includes prostaglandins, thromboxanes, leukotrienes, hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acids (HETEs), and lipoxins. Eicosanoids have been shown to enhance, as well as attenuate inflammation and have also been linked to carcinogenesis.
Enzo’s portfolio of ELISA kits for cytokines and eicosanoids features:

C-Reactive Protein
C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is a pentraxin family protein that is widely used as a biomarker for systemic inflammation and tissue injury. Its primary role in innate immunity is to function as an opsonin for pathogens via activation of the complement pathway and through binding to Fc gamma receptors. CRP has been shown to play an important role in a variety of pathological pathways.

Fighting Cancer with the Immune System
Immuno-oncology, also known as cancer immunotherapy, refers to the use of a person’s own immune system for the treatment of cancer. Research in the field includes:
- Targeting immune tolerance via co-inhibitory immune checkpoints
- Enhancing immune responses by costimulatory checkpoint pathways
At Enzo, our diverse scientific and technical expertise has helped us create innovative assays and reagents to help support cancer immunotherapy. We offer a complete set of solutions for Immuno-oncology research including antibodies, ELISA kits and recombinant proteins.
MBL - Mannan-Binding Lectin
MBL (Mannan-Binding Lectin) is a carbohydrate-binding protein produced in the liver and secreted into the blood. The protein plays a key factor in innate immunity, functioning as a player in the complement activation cascade and defending the body against invading microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, protozoa and fungi).
