Product Specification
Alternative Name: | Uvomorulin, CD324, Epithelial cadherin, Cadherin-1 |
Clone: | SHE78-7 |
Host: | Mouse |
Isotype: | IgG2a |
Immunogen: | Soluble E-cadherin from human placenta. |
UniProt ID: | P12830 |
Source: | Obtained by fusing the P3-X63-Ag8-U1 myeloma cell line with splenocytes of BALB/c mouse immunized with soluble E-cadherin from human placenta. |
Species reactivity: | Human
Crossreactivity: | Does not cross-react with rat E-cadherin. |
Applications: | ELISA, Flow Cytometry, IF, IHC (FS), IHC (PS), WB, FUNC
Recommended Dilutions/Conditions: | ELISA (2µg/ml) Flow Cytometry (1µg/ml) Immunofluorescence (1µg/ml) Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections, 2µg/ml) Immunohistochemistry (paraffin sections, 2µg/ml; good results were obtained by incubating with the primary antibody at 4°C overnight) Western Blot (2µg/ml; reducing and non-reducing conditions) Functional Application (1µg/ml) Suggested dilutions/conditions may not be available for all applications. Optimal conditions must be determined individually for each application. |
Application Notes: | Functional Application: inhibits of E-cadherin-dependent cell-cell contact |
Purity Detail: | Purified from ascites by ammonium sulfate precipitation and anion exchange chromatography. |
Formulation: | Lyophilized from 10mM PBS, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA. Contains no preservatives. |
Reconstitution: | Reconstitute with 50µl distilled water. Dilute with 20mM TBS, pH 7.4, 10mM CaCl2, 1% BSA. Reconstituted solution should contain 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative when stored at +4°C.Note: TBS should be used for dilution, as PBS causes precipitation. |
Use/Stability: | The stock solution should be stored in aliquotes at -20°C for 1 year or should be stored at 4°C for 6 months after adding 0.1% sodium azide. |
Handling: | Dilute only prior to immediate use. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. After reconstitution, prepare aliquots and store at -20°C. |
Shipping: | Blue Ice Not Frozen |
Short Term Storage: | +4°C |
Technical Info/Product Notes: | Ca2+ should be contained in the buffers to stabilize cadherin antigen. In case of immunohistochemical staining of paraffin embedded tissues and acetone fixed frozen sections, Ca2+ is not necessary. |
Regulatory Status: | RUO - Research Use Only |
