Specificity: | Recognizes actin isotypes α and γ of skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscle. This antibody labels rhabdomyosarcomas, hemangiopericytomas, leiomyosarcomas and leiomyomas but does not react with non-myogenic sarcomas. It is nonreactive with other neoplasms such as carcinoma or lymphoma and with other mesenchymal and all epithelial cells, with the exception of myoepithelium. |

Recommended Dilutions/Conditions: | Immunohistochemistry (paraffin sections; this antibody can be used for staining of paraffin-embedded tissue sections fixed in neutral buffered formalin and is compatible with most commonly used histological fixatives. Choose a good quality enzyme-linked anti-mouse IgG1 antibody for detection). General suggested starting dilution is 1:20-1:50. Suggested dilutions/conditions may not be available for all applications. Optimal conditions must be determined individually for each application. |
