Scientific Background:AMH (anti-Müllerian hormone) is a member of the TGF-β family of genes and has been shown to be present in both males and females. It is known to be expressed in Sertoli cells and is involved in male sexual differentiation. The hormone is present in the ovary of females and has been shown to be a marker of female fertility. AMH was found to inhibit primordial follicle assembly and decrease the initial primordial follicle pool size. Women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) exhibit elevated levels of Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) which has been found to desensitize ovarian follicles. It has also been shown to inhibit growth of cervical cancer cells via the MIS type II receptor.

Technical Info/Product Notes:FLAG is a registered trademark of Sigma-Aldrich Co.

Regulatory Status:RUO - Research Use Only

AMH (human), (recombinant) Activity_Assay
Caski cell growth inhibition assay after treatment with AMH (ENZ-PRT195): Caski cells were placed in stationary media at 5000 cells/well in 96 well plates. They were treated with a titered concentration of AMH diluted in cell culture media. The cells were grown at 37°C / 5% CO2 for 48 hours. Inhibition of growth was measured using a modified MTT cell viability assay. The ED50 range is between 0.05 – 1.0 μg/mL.
AMH (human), (recombinant) SDS-PAGE
Coomassie stained SDS-PAGE. Lane 1: Molecular weight marker, Lane 2: 1.0 µg, Lane 3: 2.0 µg, Lane 4: 5.0 µg AMH (Prod. No. ENZ-PRT195).
AMH (human), (recombinant) Western blot
Western blot analysis of AMH probed with mouse anti-HIS antibody. Lane 1: MWM, Lane 2: 100 ng AMH (Prod. No. ENZ-PRT195) probed HIS antibody.
AMH (human), (recombinant) Western blot
