Fluorogenic substrate for angiotensin converting enzyme-1 (ACE1). The somatic form of ACE1 is a zinc-dependent peptidyl dipeptidase comprising two catalytic domains referred to as the N- and C-domains. The testicular form, due to a downstream start site, contains only the C-domain. Abz fluorescence is quenched by the Dnp group until cleavage (at Arg-Lys) separates them. Ex: 320 nm, Em: 420 nm. This quenched substrate is useful for assay of plasma, tissue, and cell culture ACE1 activity, inhibitor screening and kinetic analysis.
