Rapid – results in <2.5 hours from up to 40 samples in duplicate
Convenient – user-friendly alternative to mass spectrometry
Easy-to-use – simple procedure, liquid color-coded reagents and pre-coated plates to reduce error
Quantitative – fully quantitative results surpass semi-quantitative Western blot analysis
Sensitive – measure as little as 1 ng/ml of SLPI (ALP)
The SLPI ELISA kit is a complete, colorimetric, immunometric immunoassay kit for the quantitative determination of SLPI in serum with results in just 2.5 hours.
The ALP (antileukoproteinase) or SLPI (secretory leukocyte peptidase inhibitor) protein is a secreted inhibitor which protects epithelial tissues from serine proteases. It is found in various secretions including seminal plasma, cervical mucus, and bronchial secretions, and has affinity for trypsin, leukocyte elastase, and cathepsin G. Its inhibitory effect contributes to the immune response by protecting epithelial surfaces from attack by endogenous proteolytic enzymes. The ALP protein is also thought to have broad-spectrum antibiotic activity.
Produced in insect cells. Human recombiinant SLPI (aa 25-132) is fused to a His-tag. Produced in a baculovirus expression system., ≥90% (SDS-PAGE), WB, in vitro Assay | Print as PDF
