BREAKING NEWS: CRISPR/Cas9 is at it again
BREAKING NEWS: CRISPR/Cas9 is at it again. No longer content as only a genomic editing tool, CRISPR/Cas9 can also edit the epigenome, per a new study published April 6 in
Nature Biotechnology. The new technology utilizes non-cutting dCas9 protein coupled to a histone-modifying protein, creating a system able to selectively raise levels of gene expression by increasing activity at a variety of regulatory regions.
