Source:Produced in insect cells. Active, full length protein kinase C δ (PKCd). Produced in a baculovirus expression system.

UniProt ID:Q05655

Formulation:Liquid. In 50mM TRIS-HCl, pH 7.5, containing 150mM sodium chloride, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25mM DTT, 0.1mM PMSF and 25% glycerol.

Application Notes:Useful for kinetic and functional studies, phosphorylation of target substrates, drug screening.

Shipping:Dry Ice

Long Term Storage:-80°C

Scientific Background:PKCδ was the first novel PKC isozyme discovered. It is calcium-insensitive, but still activated by DAG and phorbol esters. Cleavage by caspase 3 results in the activation of PKCδ and translocation of the catalytic domain into the mitochondrion. This cleavage and activation is associated with inhibition of cell cycle progression and induction of apoptosis by UV and ionizing radiation, cisplatin, etoposide, cytosine arabinoside, mitomycin C and doxorubicin.

Technical Info/Product Notes:Replacement for ADI-PPK-465

Regulatory Status:RUO - Research Use Only
