B-Cells versus T-Cells
White blood cells called lymphocytes are the major players of the adaptive immune system – the part of our immune response that has evolved to specifically recognize and eliminate pathogens and other threats to our body. To achieve this goal, the adaptive immune system relies on two key cell types to mount a defined, effective, and ever-adapting response to fight off bacteria, viruses, toxins, or even cancer: B- cells and T-cells.
But what are the key differences between those cell types?
Our infographic provides an overview of each cell type’s main function, identification markers, and keys differences.
