For isolation and enrichment of SUMO-1 interacting proteins. SUMO-1 agarose may have considerable utility for the capture/pull down of SUMO-1 interacting partners, including processing/signalling pathway proteins and SUMO-1 modification substrates, from cell lysates and extracts by affinity binding. The immobilized protein retains the exposed C-terminal diglycine required for SUMO-1 modification and therefore may be suitable for in vitro SUMOylation. Captured proteins can be eluted readily for identification, analysis or subsequent biochemical reaction.
