Scientific Background: | Proteinase 3 is a neutral serine protease located in neutrophil azurophil granules. It is closely related to neutrophil elastase and can cleave elastin. PR3 is involved in diseases such as Wegener’s granulomatosis, emphysema, vasculitis, and other inflammatory diseases. |
