Product Details

MW:37 kDa
Source:The human Thrombin was activated from homogeneous human prothrombin by activation with Factor Xa, Factor Va, and phospholipid. These activation enzymes were removed after activation. Complete activation was observed on SDS-PAGE. The above protein was purified from Human plasma units that test negative for antibodies to HBc, HCV, HIV 1/2, HTLV-I/II, and non-reactive for HBsAg, HIV-1 RNA, HCV RNA, HBV DNA and Syphilis by FDA approved tests. Donors are screened for CJD.
UniProt ID:P00734
Shipping:Dry Ice
Long Term Storage:-80°C
Scientific Background:Thrombin (factor IIa) is a serine endopeptidase comprising a light and a heavy chain, the latter being the catalytic subunit. Thrombin is a necessary component of the clotting cascade, and is important in cardiovascular research and drug development, and may play a role in Alzheimer’s disease as well.
Regulatory Status:RUO - Research Use Only
