Product Details

Alternative Name:ICA512, Protein tyrosine phosphatase IA2
MW:~58.8 kDa
Source:Produced in E. coli. The catalytic domain of human PTP-IA2 (aa 693-970) is fused at the N-terminus to a GST-tag.
UniProt ID:Q16849
Formulation:Liquid. In 25mM TRIS-HCl, pH 8.0, containing 75mM sodium chloride, 0.05% Tween-20, 50% glycerol, 2mM EDTA, 1mM dithiothreitol and 10mM glutathione.
Purity:≥90% (SDS-PAGE)
Shipping:Shipped on Blue Ice
Long Term Storage:-20°C
Scientific Background:IA2, together with IAR, form a subgroup of receptor-like protein tyrosine phosphatases. This PTP was found to be an autoantigen that is reactive with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) patient sera, and thus may be a potential target of autoimmunity in diabetes mellitus. It is highly expressed in neuroendocrine tissues.
Regulatory Status:RUO - Research Use Only
