Phosphodiesterase PDE3 inhibitor (IC50=5 nM). Blocks PKB/Akt signaling pathway by inhibition of Akt-activated PDE3B. Reverses the established effects of leptin on food intake and body weight. Blocks the leptin-induced tyrosine phosphorylation of STAT3 at the hypothalamic level.
