This peptide (also known as Woodtide), Biotin-Ahx-KKISGRLSPIMTEQ, is derived from transcription factor FKHR with the addition of two lysines to facilitate binding to phosphocellulose membranes. It is a substrate for the DYRK family of kinases. The biotin allows the peptide to be used in kinase assays with streptavidin-bound membranes.
