Sequence from site of phosphorylation by PKA on the ß-subunit of phosphorylase kinase. Highly specific and very potent substrate for cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA). PKI inhibited 90% substrate phosphorylation in various tissue extracts. Km=15 µM for PKA; 223 µM for PKG. Useful in measuring activity of this PKA via phosphorylation-induced decrease in fluorescence.
