Most potent member of the ginkgolide family of PAF antagonists. Ginkgolide B accelerates PAF hydrolysis by promoting PAF-AH I α2 homodimer activity. Inhibits PAF-induced PMNL chemotaxis (IC50=490 nM). Orally effective against PAF-induced bronchospasm.
