Replaces Prod. #: ALX-340-008
Non-metabolizable analog of arachidonic or eicosadienoic acid. Cell permeable. DEDA inhibits P388D1 cell phospholipase A2 (PLA2) (IC50=16 µM) and snake venom PLA2 (IC50=14 µM). It inhibits human recombinant sPLA2 (IC50=5.8 µM) selectively over cPLA2. It is also a weak inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase (IC50=56 µM, RBL-l cells). Inhibits induction of the anti-viral state in human fibroblasts induced by interferon.
