A highly potent antagonist of the human group II and III metabotropic glutamate receptors (20-fold selectivity for group III mGluR and negligible activity at group I mGluR1. It reverses L-AP4 inhibition of forskolin-stimulated cAMP accumulation (IC50=2.2nM).
