Scientific Background: | Human cytocrhome P-450 (CYP2A6), the orthologue of rat CYP2A3 is principally found in the liver, but recently interest in its localization in the nasal mucosa has grown due to its role in the metabolism of inhaled xenobiotics and nicotine. The antiserum cross reacts with human CYP2B6 with which it shares a similar C-terminal amino acid sequence. |
