NOW INCLUDES BOTH CHROMOGENIC AND FLUOROGENIC SUBSTRATES! This kit is a complete assay system to measure protease activity of caspase-3. Cleavage of a tetrapeptide substrate is monitored colorimetrically by increased absorption at 405 nm or fluorimetrically (Ex. 360 nm/Em. 460 nm). Assays are performed in a convenient 96-well plate format. This kit is useful for screening inhibitors of caspase-3, a therapeutic target. For assays of caspase-3 in cellular extracts, please see the CASPASE-3 Cellular Activity Assay Kit PLUS (Prod. No. BML-AK703).
