The Quick Apoptotic DNA Ladder Detection Kit offers fast and sensitive detection of DNA fragmentation in apoptotic cells. Unlike other similar kits on the market which require 1-2 days to prepare nucleic acids, the new procedure requires less than 90 minutes to prepare chromosomal DNA in a single tube, with no need for extraction or a column. DNA ladders can easily be visualized by agarose gel electrophoresis. This procedure increases recovery of small fragmented DNA, and therefore improves detection sensitivity.
Figure: Quick detection of DNA ladder in apoptotic cells. Apoptosis was induced in Jurkat cells with camtothecin (2µM) for 0 hours (lane1), 6 hours (lane2) and 12 hours (lane3). Chromosomal DNA was prepared using the Quick Apoptotic DNA Ladder Detection Kit according to the kit instructions. 20µl of each sample was electrophoresed on a 1.2% agarose/EtBr gel.
