Technical Info/Product Notes: | FAP is a cell surface glycoprotein of reactive human fibroblasts. Among the normal adult organs tested, MAb to FAP does not show immunoreactivity in immunohistological studies with either resting fibroblasts (fibrocytes) of the normal organ mesenchyme or the parenchymal cells. The single exception noted is a subset of endocrine cells in the pancreatic islets, presumably glucagon-producing A cells. |
