Non-pungent resiniferatoxin-type phorboid vanilloid. Agonist at rat TRPV1 (EC50 between 3 and 10µM) but virtually inactive at human TRPV1 (EC50>10µM). Induces apoptosis through a TRPV-independent mechanism. Tumor promotor.
