Cell permeable derivative of vitamin E. Antioxidant. Inhibits peroxynitrite mediated tyrosine nitration and mitochondrial proton permeability. Prevents lipid peroxidation, cytotoxicity and apoptosis induced by cytochrome P450 2E1 in HEP G2 cells.
