Formulation:Liquid. In 50 mM TRIS, pH 7.4, containing 0.1mM EDTA, 10% glycerol, 100mM NaCl, 0.1mM DTT, 10 µM tetrahydrobiopterin.

Specific Activity:≥120 U/mg. 1 U is defined as the amount of enzyme required to produce 1 nmol of NO (nitric oxide) per minute at 37°C. NO synthesis is measured by the conversion of oxyhemoglobin to methemoglobin.

Use/Stability:eNOS is relatively unstable, and loses activity on ice within 30 minutes. Prepare aliquots and snap-freeze in liquid nitrogen until ready for use.
