Scientific Background: | Drebrins are actin-binding proteins that are developmentally regulated in the process of neuronal growth. Three isoforms, E1 and E2 (embryonic) and A (adult) are generated by alternative RNA splicing from a single Drebrin gene in the chicken brain. It has been suggested that Drebrin is one of the intracellular regulators of the neuronal morphogenesis. |
