| Scientific Background: | The hematopoietic cell-specific protein 1 (HS1) is an intracellular protein expressed exclusively in tissues and cells of hematopoietic and lymphoid origins. In response to cellular stress or erythropoietin stimulation, HS1 is phosphorylated by the protein tyrosine kinase Syk at Tyr378 and Tyr397, and then by a variety of Src-related kinases including c-Fgr, Lyn, and Fyn. |
