The Rules (For Scientists)
- Submitting your phrase – Submit your phrase (in English) using the form on our website, or by visiting the Enzo booth at select global trade shows throughout the year. Be as serious or silly as you want, but keep it clean! All phrases are subject to approval by Enzo Life Sciences (see legal stuff below). Enter as many phrases as you like now through May 31, 2014.
- Voting for your favorite phrases – ”Like” or “+1” your favorite phrases on the Why Do You Research page. Share with your friends and coworkers to promote your own phrase, or just vote for your favorite. Preliminary voting ends on May 31, 2014. You don’t have to submit a phrase to vote.
- Winning FREE T-shirts or Enzo product – Just for submitting a phrase, you will be eligible for our monthly drawing for one of the current T-shirts! Please note that only approved phrases are eligible for voting. The 25 phrases with the most preliminary votes qualify for Final Voting (conducted June 13-July 4, 2014). Phrases from previous versions of the WDYR? T-shirt or phrases posted by Enzo employees will not be eligible for final voting. The top 10 phrases in Final Voting will be featured on the new Why Do You Research? T-shirt, and will win T-shirts for their entire lab. The phrase receiving the most votes in Final Online Voting will receive the GRAND PRIZE of $1000 in Enzo product.
The Rules (For Lawyers)
- Eligibility - No purchase necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law or institutional policy. All contestants must be age 18 or older at time of entry.
- Copyright - All work must be released for individual usage or purpose usage grants. No unauthorized use of any copyrighted text will be accepted.
- Entry Guidelines - Entries are accepted online only. There is no limit to how many entries each contestant can submit.
- Approval/Eligibility Criteria - Enzo Life Sciences reserves the sole right to determine eligibility.
Content should be appropriate for public use. (If it wouldn't be acceptable for public display, it will not be accepted for our contest). The phrase should be uniquely yours and can be (but is not required to be) witty or comical. Each entry will go through an approval process to determine if the phrase meets our criteria. Enzo has the right to deny/block phrases or social media comments containing lewd, suggestive, or profane language. Your phrase may also be rejected if the same or similar phrase has already been submitted and approved. Phrases are subject to editing by Enzo, including but not limited to truncation, re-phrasing/re-wording, spelling/grammar correction, etc. to clarify meaning or meet design requirements such as character limitations.
- Authorize Rights to Enzo Life Sciences - By submitting your phrase you authorize Enzo Life Sciences to post your entry on our website, t-shirt or other marketing materials indefinitely, and grant Enzo Life Sciences the right to use your phrase for marketing purposes. Enzo reserves the sole right to adjust contest rules without notifying customers based on the volume of entries or legal requirements. Contest participants are responsible for checking the site for changes, and should review the rules prior to each submission.
