Reversibly inhibits the active site of lysosomal α-mannosidase. Also inhibits the growth of tumors and prevents metastasis in murine models. Could inhibit cell proliferation in vitro and the growth of human gastric carcinoma in vivo. Blocks the processing of high mannose oligosaccharides to form complex type oligosaccharides.^Immunomodulator.
