Human Chromogranin A [352-372]). Wild type catestatin, initially described as a potent catecholamine release inhibitory peptide. Cst located in the skin is active against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria as well as against fungi and yeast. Also proposed as a modulator or regulator of cardiac function and as an anti-hypertensive agent.
