IHC diluent (primary Ab) can be used as a diluent to prepare primary antibodies and negative controls. It can be used with any primary antibody irrespective of its source of origin. Primary antibody diluent is specifically designed to stabilize primary antibodies and reduce nonspecific background staining observed during immunostaining.

| Technical Info/Product Notes: | In order to obtain optimal staining, correct dilution and selection of appropriate diluent is very critical. Ionic strength, pH, and the presence or absence of detergents can affect the binding and stability of primary antibodies. The optimal pH together with stabilizing proteins in the IHC diluent (primary Ab) ensures maximum stability of primary antibodies. Our IHC diluent (primary Ab) contains optimal concentrations of sodium chloride and detergents to help prevent nonspecific binding and allow for better penetration of primary antibodies. It is specifically designed to dilute primary antibodies for immunohistochemistry. Mono and polyclonal antibodies can be diluted in this buffer.

| Protocol: | Preparation of reagent: Bring the IHC diluent (primary Ab) to room temperature and mix thoroughly before use. No further preparation is required.
Procedure:
1. Pour IHC diluent (primary Ab) in a clean glass container.
2. Add concentrated primary antibody directly to the IHC diluent (primary Ab) and mix thoroughly.
3. Diluted antibody is now ready to use. Store at 2-8°C for further use. |
