Technical Info/Product Notes:One of the hallmarks of successful IHC is the strength of the signal generated during immunostaining. DAB, widely used as a chromogen for immunoperoxidase staining, has been well accepted by pathologists due to its superior performance compared to amino ethyl carbazol (AEC). Tissue specimens stained with DAB after only a brief incubation show increased staining intensity when the enhancer is applied. Increased sensitivity of the detection system allows the cost-effective option of diluting the primary antibody 5 to 10 fold. HIGHDEF® IHC enhancer (DAB, plus) increases the signal intensity without creating any background staining.

Protocol:
  1. Follow standard IHC protocol.
  2. After incubating sections with DAB reagent, rinse slides with distilled water.
  3. Apply HIGHDEF® IHC enhancer (DAB, plus) solution for 60 seconds.
  4. Rinse in buffer and continue with counterstaining.
