Enzo Life Sciences offers a complete set of solutions for in situ hybridization, providing everything you need for labeling, hybridization, and detection.

  • Label a probe with your preferred BIO-PROBE® Labeling Reagent Pack (random primed or nick translation) and deoxynucleotide pack for incorporation of Bio-16-dUTP or Fluorescein-12-dUTP.
  • Hybridize with a complete set of reagents and buffers.
  • Detect with SIMPLYSENSITIVE® or ULTRASENSITIVE® Enhanced Detection Systems using Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) or Alkaline Phosphatase (AP) colorimetric development.

No time to make your own viral detection probes?
Choose from a selection of ready-made, high-sensitivity PATHO-GENE® HPV or BIOPROBE® Infectious Agent Probes for HPV, Adenovirus, CMV, and more. Each is developed for use with our hybridization and detection systems.
Complete detection kits are available for HPV detection. Choose PATHO-GENE® HPV Typing and Screening Assays for HPV viral DNA detection or FLOWSCRIPT® HPV E6/E7 assay for a flow cytometry based assay for the single cell detection of mRNAs for HPV oncoproteins E6 and E7.

ISH Virus Detection

Detect and Identify HPV & Viral DNA in situ

As a long time contributor to the HPV market, Enzo developed the first non-radioactive HPV probes for in situ hybridization detection in 1986. Today, Enzo continues to contribute to the field of HPV research. By utilizing extensive knowledge of gene expression analysis and a proficiency in novel dye chemistry for cell analysis, we have developed a new molecular platform, FLOWSCRIPT™ HPV E6/E7 assay. As a pioneer in the development of HPV detection systems, Enzo continues to bring forward innovative technologies that provide clinically relevant information to researchers studying human papillomavirus.

PATHO-GENE® HPV Probes and typing assays for sensitive detection of viral DNA from fresh or FFPE tissue sections

PATHO-GENE® and BIO-PROBE® HPV in situ typing assays and infectious agent probes enable detection of Viral DNA in fresh or FFPE tissue sections. Discover our convenient HPV Typing assays and specific biotin-labeled probes for HPV and a variety of common infectious agents.

AMPIVIEW™ RNA probes

Visualize the spatial biology of target genes with ease

AMPIVIEW™ RNA probes are uniquely designed with the precision of targeted, sequence specific RNA, powered by Enzo’s LoopRNA ISH™ technology to deliver superior sensitivity when combined with Enzo’s linkers and immunohistochemistry (IHC) detection solutions. When AMPIVIEW™ RNA probes hybridize to nucleic acid targets, loops form exposing biotin or digoxigenin labels, making these probes highly specific and sensitive to detect. Target genes can be visualized in its morphological context with a light microscope.

Labeling & Detection Systems

A complete BIO-PROBE® Random Primed or Nick Translation DNA Labeling System consists of the combination of two separate components: a Reagent Pack (labeling system) and a choice of deoxynucleotide packs for Bio-16-dUTP or Fluorescein-12-dUTP. Once labeling of choice is completed, hybridization is performed with a complete set of reagents, followed by detection with SimplySensitive® or UltraSensitive® Detection Systems.

Modified Nucleotides & Nick Translation Labeling

Ensure Peak Labeling Performance for FISH Probe Synthesis

Fluorescent dye-dUTPs are well recognized as superior to analogous methods using cumbersome indirect two-step labeling methods. When coupled with the Nick Translation DNA Labeling System, this direct approach provides a simple and efficient method to label DNA for FISH, suitable for a wide range of molecular biology and cytogenetics applications.

  • Ten distinct colors to choose from, spanning the visible light spectrum
  • High signal intensity and good photostability
