Custom Antibody Production

Scientists at ELS were among the first to commercialize the synthetic peptide approach to antibody production and hold an enviable record of success in the production of protein-reactive antibodies by this means.  In addition to our custom service offering, a high proportion of the antibodies in our catalog were produced, purified and characterised using synthetic peptides, and the extensive number of citations in the scientific literature attests to their usefulness in life science research.

We have extensive experience in raising antisera to native and recombinant proteins as well as to synthetic peptides. Approximately two milligrams of a purified protein is usually sufficient to undertake an immunisation program efficiently and to allow sufficient material for subsequent characterisation purposes.
