Source/Host:	Isolated from human neutrophils.

Application:	MMP or ADAM inhibitor in vitro or in tissue culture; positive control in antibody applications or reverse zymograms.

Miscellaneous/General:	TIMP-1 inhibits most MMPs, displaying ki’s in the low nanomolar range, although it is not very effective against the MT-MMPs. It also can inhibit ADAMs such as ADAM10 and ADAMTS4. While it can inhibit angiogenesis, it can also promote cell growth.
