Platelet activating factor (PAF) with a C16 alkyl group. Initiates receptor-mediated responses in platelets and a variety of other cells. Rabbit platelet PAF receptor KD=0.1 nM. EC50 for stimulation of phosphoinositide metabolism in hippocampal cell line: 1.2-1.5 nM.
