Novel Sirt activator structurally based on a dihydropyridine scaffold. EC150 (effective concentration able to increase enzyme activity by 150%) =1μM for Sirt1 with weaker effect on Sirt2 and Sirt3 (25 and 50μM respectively). The compound is active in whole cells and arrests cell cycle at G1/S phase in U937 cells.
