AGGC specifically blocks methyl esterification of geranylgeranylated proteins such as Rab proteins. AGGC blocks receptor-mediated signal transduction in human neutrophils (IC50=4 µM). Induces insulin release from HIT-T15 cells by mimicking the action of Rab3A and inhibits β2-integrin-induced actin polymerization (IC50~45 nM) in neutrophils.
