ACA is a close structural analog of the PLA2 inhibitor, ONO-RS-082 and possesses similar but less potent inhibitory activity. Inhibits TRP channels independently of PLA2, including TRPM2, TRPC6 and TRPM8. It is a useful tool for studying the physiological role of TRP channels.
