Immunogen:	Recombinant mouse RELM-α (resistin-like molecule-α).

Specificity:	Recognizes mouse RELM-α. Detects a band of ~10kDa by Western blot.

Application:	ELISA (direct and indirect: 1:5’000-1:10’000 ). Western Blot (1:5’000-1:10’000 using ECL. Suggested blocking and dilution buffer is TBST containing 0.05% Tween 20 and 5% skim milk. Suggested incubation time is 1 hour at room temperature). Optimal conditions must be determined individually for each application.

Use/Stability:	Stable for up to 6 months when stored at -20°C.

Miscellaneous/General:	Mouse RELM-α (resistin-like molecule-α/FIZZ1) is a member to the family of adipocyte-secreted proteins called adipocytokines. Both RELM-α and resistin share high sequence homology in their C-terminal signature domain. However, both resistin and RELM-α’s biological function as well as its molecular target is largely unknown. Recombinant mouse RELM-α is a 9.5 kDa protein consisting of 88 aa residues.
