Scientific Background:The transmembrane protein GPP130 is localized to the cis-Golgi, where it is targeted by virtue of its lumenal coiled-coil domain and mediates trafficking in the late endosome-bypass pathway. GPP130 continuously recycles between early Golgi and distal compartments.
