A frequent cause of high background staining is due to non-specific binding of secondary antibodies. High quality secondary antibodies are crucial to obtain good staining of targets that are normally harder to detect, for example due to low expression levels. Interference caused by endogenous immunoglobulins can also result in poor detection. Secondary antibodies specifically adsorbed against cross-reacting immunoglobulins will enhance results.

Purity Detail:	Purified by affinity chromatography on rat IgM covalently linked to Sepharose™-4B. Cross-adsorbed with rat IgG. Cross-reactivity with IgM from other species has not been evaluated.

Application:	Flow Cytometry Immunocytochemistry Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections, paraffin sections) Recommended starting dilution is 1:100. Optimal conditions must be determined individually for each application.

Long Term Storage:	-20°C

Use/Stability:	For increased long-term stability, add 40% glycerol to aliquots prior to freezing at -20°C.

Handling:	After opening, prepare aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Protect from light.
