Host:Rabbit

Immunogen:Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa 215-228 (G215VDEVAKKKSKKEK228) of human PARP-1 (poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-1).

UniProt ID:P09874

Species reactivity:Human
Bovine, Chicken

Applications:ELISA, ICC, WB

Recommended Dilutions/Conditions:ELISA (1:210,000)
Immunocytochemistry (1:50)
Western Blot (1:2,000-1:5,000)
Optimal conditions must be determined individually for each application.

Application Notes:Detects bands of ~116kDa (full-length PARP-1) and ~85kDa (apoptosis-induced cleavage fragment) by Western blot.

Formulation:Liquid. Contains 0.02% sodium azide.

Shipping:Shipped on Blue Ice

Long Term Storage:+4°C

Scientific Background:During apoptosis PARP-1 is cleaved between Asp214 and Gly215 to yield two fragments of 29kDa and 85kDa. This cleavage site is conserved in human, bovine and chicken PARP-1.
