Scientific Background:The cluster of differentiation (CD) proteins are a group of surface molecules so named for their use in the identification and classification of leukocytes. The structure and function of CD proteins varies greatly and includes a multitude of receptors involved in cell adhesion, signal transduction, and antigen recognition. For example, CD8 (cytotoxic) and CD8 (helper) are well established T-lymphocyte markers, and function as co-receptors for MHC-I and MHC-II, respectively.
CD40L monoclonal antibody (5F3) Flow Cytometry
Flow cytometric analysis of CD154 expression on cells transfected with CD154 vector. Cells were stained with isotype control (open histogram) or CD40L (CD154) mAb (5F3) (shaded histogram).
