Scientific Background: | Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. KLK8 is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members. The KLK8 enzyme exhibits distinct patterns of expression that suggest roles in brain plasticity and ovarian cancer. |

SDS-PAGE Analysis. Lane 1: Marker, Lane 2: KLK8 Fraction 4 from column (22µl), Lane 3: KLK8 Fraction 5 from column (22µl), Lane 4: KLK8 Fraction 6 from column (22µl), Lane 5: KLK8 Fraction 7 from column (22µl), Lane 6: KLK8 Fraction 9 from column (22µl). KLK8 His-tag recombinant protein was purified over a Ni-NTA bead column, washed, and then eluted into 0.5ml fractions which were then combined for the final purified product.
Western blot analysis of KLK8 (human), (recombinant) (His-tag) (Prod. No. ADI-908-300) probed with KLK8, mAb (BE) (Prod. no. ADI-905-1000) (lane 2) or KLK8, mAb (B12) (Prod. no. ADI-905-1005) (lane 3). Lane 1 includes a representative MW Marker.
